KrayPlates founder and head chef Krayla Brice is passionate about incredible food with soul.
After finishing culinary school and working as a private chef, Brice quickly learned that she had something people wanted: a gift for not just making incredible, authentic Haitian and Caribbean cuisine, but the ability to put island culture on the menu too.
In 2018, Brice launched KrayPlates with the tools she had: her phone and her grandmother’s kitchen, splashing the day’s specials (like deeply flavorful Haitian Spaghetti) across her social media accounts on a first-come first-served basis.
Those early dishes sold out – fast –catapulting KrayPlates to local fame for flavorful, impromptu dishes ready for pick up before the day’s limit ran out.
KrayPlates has since expanded and now operates a “virtual kitchen” from Gourmet Fish in Hyde Park.
